Anyone with previous New Zealand Air Force, Army or Navy service is deemed a "Re-enlistment".
There are currently extremely few positions available to re-enlistments. Applications and enquiries will only be accepted from fully qualified personnel in the following trades:
Each application for the above trades will be considered on a case by case basis - there is no guarantee of a position being offered. We are not currently accepting applications from candidates who do not fit the above criteria.
Please note if you wish to re-enlist into a trade that wasn't your previous trade you will, most likely, go in competition with direct entrant applicants for a position on the next available primary trade course. These courses are normally 3 months after the planned recruit course dates (next course May 2010). Also, if the trade you wish to change to is an aircrew role, you will be required to attend and Officer and Aircrew selection Board, (OASB) normally held in April and September.

I am not a New Zealand Citizen, can I apply?
No. please check the New Zealand Immigration site to check eligibility for Citizenship and NZPR.
I am not on the above list of trades - can I apply?
No. Please watch for changes to the eligible trades.
When are you likely to increase recruiting of re-enlistments?
There is no time frame for this but not likely in the next 12 months.
Can I apply to re-enlist in a trade different to my previous trade?
Yes. There are conditions and you will be in competition with direct entrants for a position. The next selection for officers and aircrew is SEP 2010 and for ground trades APR 2010. This also applies to Army and Navy personnel who do not have an equivalent trade in the RNZAF.
