Ground Officers

Covering a wide variety of positions, Ground Officers are trained to become managers in their field and leaders among the men and women of the Air Force. These roles require a minimum qualification of either a diploma or degree, depending on the role.
// CIS OFFICER
As a Communication and Information Systems (CIS) Officer, you’ll be trained to manage a range of communication and information systems, as well as personnel to ensure the RNZAF is in constant and efficient contact whenever necessary.
// TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Help provide the specialist training that keeps Air Force personnel at the peak of world-class efficiency.
// ENGINEERING OFFICER
As an Engineering Officer, you’ll actively manage the maintenance of RNZAF aircraft and their mechanical, avionics and armament systems.
// HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
In this role, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of human resource and administrative functions, including the co-ordinating personnel administration, policy development and advisory services to Air Force personnel.
// MEDICAL OFFICER
As a Medical Officer, you’ll provide primary medical care to staff on the ground and in the air, and at times be on call for medical emergencies and search and rescue operations.
// PSYCHOLOGIST
Air Force Psychologists are employed as Commissioned Specialist Military Officers and are involved in a broad range of occupational and military psychology activities. These include debriefing deployed personnel, entry level testing and interviewing, specialised consultancy and human factors education.
// LOGISTICS SUPPLY OFFICER
As a Logistics Supply Officer, you’ll be responsible for the movement and management of all military hardware, supplies and personnel.
// WORKS OFFICER
