// TIPS FOR APPLICANTS

  • Ensure your application is filled in correctly with all requested information.
  • Complete and return any paper work required as soon as possible. A delay in providing documentation (medical, security, educational etc) may mean you miss out on a position on a recruit course.
  • If you have any questions, contact your recruiting officer yourself – rather than getting Mum or Dad to do it for you.
  • We need to know your school qualifications no matter what your age.

// OTHER INFORMATION

  • Having a Private Pilots Licence (PPL) is not a pre-requisite to being a pilot, neither does it give you an advantage over other pilot applicants.
  • A full spectrum of qualifications are required to fulfil the many different branches and trades within the RNZAF - from a pass in year 11 English and Maths all the way up to excellent results in Year 13.
  • Not completing secondary school does not necessarily preclude you from applying.
